Well, the Government proposes to hit the RESPONSIBLE, again, by proposed new dog-owner legislation. They are looking for all dogs to be microchipped and insured Third Party. So, as always, the responsible will pay up and comply, the irresponsible, who this is for the 'benefit' of, will not bother.

It will make it almost impossible for me. nearly all mine are microchipped, but taking in so many waifs + Strays, and retaining all the ones that cant be rehomed, I just would not be able to afford the premiums, i dont make any money in, and act as a unregistered charity, so only way would be to hope that people would donate funds to be able to do the dogs

It's sadly true Ruth (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I had liability insurance on my old pooch because he had serious issues with other dogs and it was sensible to have the insurance just in case anything ever happened (IMG:style_emoticons/default/verrek.gif) I find it hard to believe that these awful people that own for these poor animals will feel the need to suddenly become responsible owners and insure their pets (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
