Greetings! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am going to compile a step by step guide on how to list your horse on the new HorseTrace Database. By following these steps you will save plenty of time and successfully list your horse.

The new database is pretty simple to use but we wanted to add a few guided steps will make it a bit easier .

1. First Step is to register by clicking here

2. Then Log in By Clicking Here

3. Once logged in click the Home Page Editor to add your contact details so you can be contacted in regards to your listing.

4. Once you have added your details then click Listings Editor to start adding your Horse Details.

5. Adding a picture This is important you follow these instructions on how to add a picture.

5a. Click the Upload button

5b. You shall be given up to 10 boxes to upload 10 images. Slect an image by clicking the Browse Button then select which photos to upload then click the Upload button

5c. You shall then see previews of your pictures... IMPORTANT When viewing Previews of your photo please make sure YOU ADD A CAPTION FOR EACH HORSE PHOTO then press Save

5b. Once you click save you shall be taken back to your listing. At the bottom of your listing you shall see a series of drop down menus. From the drop down menus select the picture name and which order you wish to display.

6. Once you are happy with the listing and sure all information is correct you can then click Save to save the listing. This will be live on the website.

Functions
Image Manager Buttons

View - View allows you to view a specific image. Select an image from the Image Manager pulldown and click "View" to view that image.

View All - View All lets you view all the images for a listing at once on one page. Click "View All" to view all the images for a listing.

Modify - Modify lets you change the image description that is displayed. To modify an image description select an image from the Image Manager pulldown and click "Modify".

Erase - Erase lets you remove an image. To remove an image select the image from the Image Manager pull down and click "Erase".

If you can't do what you need by following this guide, you may like to contact Jude, who owns/runs the database. Find her name on the Members list and send an email. Hope that will help.

I keep getting a fatal error when I access the Add a Horse option. Is this on my end or yours? Susan
